Insurance Coverage

Understanding your rental protection

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Coverage Included

All rentals include collision insurance covering repairs to the vehicle body — the part most commonly damaged — plus basic third-party liability for damage to other vehicles and property in an at-fault accident, up to 1,000,000 THB for property damage and 5,000,000 THB for personal injury. Collision coverage for your own vehicle applies only while you comply with the terms of the Rental Agreement.

Exclusions

Collision insurance does not cover glass, wheels, tires, interior, fluids, or engine oil, nor components related to towing or off-road driving. Personal property left in the vehicle, child seats, and GPS devices are not covered. The insurance does not cover accidents or damage caused while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs — in these cases the renter is fully responsible for all repair costs and any other related damages.

Excess Damage Liability (please read carefully)

Minor accident (exterior scratches only): the renter is responsible only for the initial damage cost, up to a maximum of 50,000 THB, covering exterior repairs only. Major accident (structural or internal damage): the renter is responsible for 50,000 THB, plus compensation for loss of use during the repair period, calculated on a daily basis according to the actual repair time.

Repairs Process

For minor repairs we may use qualified local repair shops, since repairs through authorized service centers can be time-consuming and may require transporting the vehicle to the mainland. Koh Phangan is roughly three hours from the mainland by ferry, so moving a vehicle off-island for repair adds transportation time and cost.

Claims Process

In case of an accident: 1) Contact us immediately via WhatsApp, LINE, or phone — you must report the incident within 12 hours or insurance coverage becomes void. 2) Take clear photographs of all vehicles involved and the scene. 3) Exchange information with other parties (name, phone, license plate). 4) File a police report within 24 hours. 5) Do not admit fault or sign any documents. Our team will guide you through the claims process. By signing the rental agreement, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with all these terms.
